When dealing with chest pain, every second counts.  That is why each of Elgin Medi-Transport’s ambulances is equipped with a 12-lead EKG that allows our paramedics to send diagnostic information ahead of the patient to emergency room personnel to help expedite getting the patient to whichever cardiac service location is needed the most.  Doctors can also use this information to expedite life-saving patient care to make sure that difficulty doesn’t become tragedy.
